Wellbeing Curriculum

“Balancing academic growth through empowered well-being.”

Claire's Montessori incorporates a science-backed Wellbeing Curriculum developed by Head of School Hillary Drinkell. The program serves both students and faculty, supporting focus, clarity, concentration, creativity, and positive social-emotional outcomes.

Four Core Wellbeing Techniques

Yoga

Research shows exercise enhances executive function and cognitive training to enhance learning-related outcomes.

Breathing Techniques

Studies demonstrate deep belly breathing increases focus, improves pro-social behavior, enhances happiness, and reduces stress and anxiety while slowing heart rate and lowering blood pressure.

Mindfulness

Youth demonstrate improved cognitive outcomes, social-emotional skills, and overall wellbeing through regular mindfulness practice.

Affirmations & Visualization

Self-affirmation changes neural activity. Mental imagery impacts motor control, attention, perception, planning, and memory.
